
This is the introductory course to WA State Career & Technical Education certification. It is designed to help teacher-candidates lay out their professional development plan based upon a State Skills Standards Inventory of their current work experience, skills, talents, and competencies. The plan may include certification or re-certification as a CTE instructor in accordance with the Washington Administrative Code and the Revised State Skills Standards. Introduction to safety and health issues and the incorporation of safety practices into curriculum and classroom management are also covered. Class will be taught hybrid/online. Instruction begins on
January 14.
There is one in-person session on Saturday, February 8 on the South Seattle campus. No book for this course. 30 clock hours will be awarded for successful demonstration of course competencies.
