In this survey class, examine the history and heroes of the environmental movement, the use of the American legal system to protect our nation's resources (e.g., air, water, wildlife, public lands), some important environmental law cases and international cooperation in environmental protection.  You'll also consider how conflicting values and interests are involved in environmental regulation, and discuss challenges for the future, including climate change.
