CourseGraphic Sugar 101: A-three part class in the fundamentals of decorative sugar work.  Learn the art of decorative sugar work with Chef Christopher Harris in this exciting hands-on class.  If you have always wanted to make beautiful centerpieces for buffets and special occasions, now is your chance to gain basic skills without traveling outside of the Pacific Northwest.  Sugar 101 is an introductory course in the art and science of sugar cooking, sugar pulling, and sugar pouring methods. This class will include proper cooking techniques for sugar.  Techniques to be covered include straw sugar, sugar casting (both free-form and with molds), pulled sugar, sugar rocks and pebbles, and bubble sugar.  Students will spend time learning and practicing these techniques and then create decorative pieces showcasing their skills.
