Contemporary Hispanic Literature and Poetry

Through modern Hispanic literature and poetry, this class explores timely and thought-provoking issues facing our country and community. You can expect to explore and discuss topics such as: bilingualism, race, and identity. For each class, you will be provided a short excerpt from a modern novel or poem which will be lectured on and discussed in the following class. Readings will be primarily in English, with the occasional interspersing of Spanish vocabulary. Lectures and discussions will be in English. Call 206.934.5339 to register two or more people at the Friends Rate of $137.50 each.
