C/N Basic Carpentry and Woodworking II

This class continues the safe use of power tools and further exploration of woodworking philosophy. These specialized tools can add a real personal dimension to your project. We will cover jigs and patterns, routers and router bits, jigsaws, electric sanders and wood finishes; to add a personal touch and interpretation to your woodworking project. Choose from a handful of challenging, useful and interesting projects, or come with your own (with approval of instructor). A materials fee of up to $95.00 (based on selected project) is payable to the instructor on the first day of class and includes use of all tools, materials, and lumber for your project. Class is located on the campus of the University of Washington, School of Art, Woodworking Shop, Room 117. Prerequisites: Previous participation in Basic Carpentry and Woodworking I (or instructor’s permission).
